We are Djirra
Djirra is safe place where culture is shared and celebrated.
We offer a wide range of practical supports for all Aboriginal women and their children who are experiencing family violence or have experienced it in the past.
For more than 22 years Djirra has celebrated the self determination of Aboriginal women, standing strong, sharing stories, and finding solutions.

Our People
Our work is predominantly designed by and for Aboriginal women.
As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisaton, we are led by an Aboriginal CEO and governed by an Aboriginal Board of Directors who are elected by our members.
Our teams are made up of passionate Aboriginal staff and allies.
Support Our Work
We support thousands of Aboriginal women across Victoria each year, providing vital frontline legal and non-legal services and programs so our women can live free from violence, and on their own terms.
Every donation enables you to walk beside us as we work towards a future where all Aboriginal women and children feel strong in identity, thrive in culture, and live free from violence.
You can provide a one-off donation or become a regular giver to maximise your impact.
Djirra acknowledges and respects the traditional custodians whose lands we are fortunate to live and work on, and we pay our respects to all Elders past and present.
