Basket Weaving Workshop – Abbotsford – Tuesday 17 September

Donna Blackall is a Yorta Yorta and Taungurung artist. Teaching and weaving for over ten years, Donna primarily uses a blanket stitch owing to its strength and functionality.

This workshop focuses on basket weaving using New Zealand flax, beginning with the form and learning about Aboriginal traditional techniques of weaving and making.

Come along and learn how to basket weave, meet other Aboriginal women and enjoy the relaxing space in the Koori Women’s place.
