Djirra welcomes the Legislative Assembly Legal and Social Issues Committee’s Inquiry into how capturing data about perpetrators of family violence can support women and children’s safety.

Our submission calls for urgent action based on our decades of experience on the frontline of Aboriginal women’s safety, including ensuring specialist family violence services have access to a Central Information Point, establishing a formal mechanism for misinformation to be corrected quickly and investing in Indigenous data sovereignty.
