Darlene Thomas

Darlene is a proud southern Barkindji women who has worked in community for the past 22 years. Darlene was the Paralegal Support Worker in the Mildura office when it was established in July 2008.
Since joining Mallee District Aboriginal Services, Darlene has undertaken various roles including one as a program worker in Koori Women’s Diversion Program which assists with diverting Koori women from deepening contact with the criminal justice system. Others include Advisor to MDAS’s CEO, acting Health Director and currently joining the senior executive team as the Director, People, Culture and Inclusion. Darlene brings to that new role extensive experience in strategy, recruitment, people management and cultural safety enhancement.
