Wax Treasures Feathers (Quill jewellery making) – ONLINE – Monday 5 July

Join proud Yuin, mum, healer and creative Amanda in this new and once in a lifetime creative opportunity. Yuin people have traditionally always had strong  connections to animals believing that they were ancestral spirits.

Amanda wants to share with you some stories of her people and those relationships while creating a personal piece that honours her ancestors ancient songlines and traditional practices.

Individual packs will be sent prior to the workshop with everything they need in order to make a pair of quill earrings and as always will receive a special gift.
We respect and acknowledge that the animals we work with are totems to some mob. Hunting and gathering has always been the way of our peoples.
The animal pieces we use and the spiritual connection, responsibility and respect we give to them is extremely important to us. So we kindly ask that if you sign up for this workshop that you ensure your availability to attend to show Amanda her ancestors and the animal the respect and acknowledgment it deserves.

Registration is a must as we’ll be sending out a Zoom meeting ID prior to the workshop date. To register, call us on 9244 3333 and ask for Torie or email kwp@djirra.org.au
