Storytelling through Possum Skin Cloak Burning – session 1 – Thursday 7 July – FULL

Emma Bamblett is proud to have connections to the Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara, Ngadjonji and Taungurung people.
Come and join Emma in this two week series to learn the cultural practice and significance of the possum skin cloak.
Participants will get to design your story/journey with a focus on connections to Country, land, family and Community.
We will then burn the story onto the cloak and be able to share the journey of the cloak with your families.

All participants registering for face to face workshops must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and show evidence on arrival to Djirra (vaccination certificate).

Places are limited, please register by contacting our Koori Women’s Place team on 9244 3333 or kwp@djirra.org.au
