We’ve teamed up with other Koori orgs including Elizabeth Morgan House, Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Centre and Yappera to deliver hampers to Aboriginal women doing it tough this Christmas. Will you get involved this year?
It’s simple to participate – all you need to do is place a non-perishable item in a box each day of November to create your own hamper. We’ve made some suggestions but feel free to mix it up! Gotta include that Keens Curry though 🤣
Hampers can be dropped off at a number of locations across Melbourne and regional Victoria early December. Drop off points will be available upon registration.
If you don’t have the capacity to create a hamper you might consider providing a voucher for gifts or toys, or donating to Djirra. We’d also love your help getting the message out so please help us share this post far and wide!
Thanks to our supporters, we were able to deliver over 1000 hampers to Aboriginal women and mums across the state last year. We hope to supply even more this Christmas!
