Damper Making with Mabu Mabu – Wednesday 8 June – Abbotsford

Join us in the KWP kitchen for an in-person experience with Meriam chef, Nornie Bero who will share her love of Australian native ingredients in a damper making demonstration.
Nornie will make a variety of dampers in Torres Strait Islander style – wrapped in banana leaves and baked with pumpkin, Wattleseed and saltbush varieties. She’ll share tips on how to get the perfect damper softness and where to source ingredients. We’ll then feast on Nornie’s damper for early lunch.
Each participant will receive their own damper kit and recipe card for their own home cooking.

All participants registering for face to face workshops must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and show
evidence on arrival to Djirra (vaccination certificate)
