Thelma Austin is a proud Gunditjmara woman living, raising
her family, and working on Wurundjeri country.
This workshop is a nurturing, creative experience for Aboriginal
women to connect and start their journey to embracing their
inner Blak Queen. Participants are invited to make their own
crowns from dried plants & flowers, crystals, and craft materials
– weaved through strengths-based discussions around our
Matriarch’s and ancestors.
Thelma will also share her story of family violence, her healing
journey and how this led her to start the Blak Queens Movement
in honor of her Mum, Nan and all women and children.
Registration is a must, call us on 9244 3333 or email kwp@djirra.org.au
