SUMMARY:Native Bush Dye with Wild Blak Arts
DESCRIPTION:Join proud Djaara (Dja Dja Wurrung) woman Cassie Fisher Patterson, artist, master weaver, bushtukka woman and cultural educator, for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of bush dyeing.\nUsing native plants rich in natural tannins, participants will learn traditional dying techniques to create beautiful colours inspired by Country on linen and calico tote bags, as well as recycled fabrics.\nYour finished bush-dyed tote will then become the canvas for Cassie’s next workshop in native plant ink printmaking, continuing the creative journey from plant to print.\nKWP workshops are free and open to all Aboriginal women. Places are limited, please register by contacting our Koori Women’s Place team on 9244 3333 or kwp@djirra.org.au ( mailto:kwp@djirra.org.au ).\n
